Next week I’ll be speaking at the Techorama conference. Techorama is a yearly international technology conference which takes place at Kinepolis Antwerp. This conference is a healthy mix between developers, IT Professionals, Data Professionals and SharePoint professionals. The key concept of the conference: Deep Knowledge, so expect less slides, and more demos! The speaker list is pretty awesome, and it’s perfect mix with lots of international top speakers, Microsoft MVP’s and Community Experts! Check out the full speaker list: https://techorama.be/speakers/I have the great pleasure myself to be delivering two sessions this year. My good friend and fellow MVP, Ronny de Jong…

Update: This feature still requires Global Admin rights! You can change and configure all the settings as “Intune Administrator” but you can’t click “Save”… This is by design! As a consultant I do a lot of Intune and Windows Autopilot projects for both small and large enterprise customers. Most of the small customers will most likely just provide me with Global Admin rights, but normally that’s not the case for large customers. If I’m there to work with Microsoft Intune, then the Intune Administrator role should be just fine. But one of the first steps we need to do, is to enable…
Just came back from an amazing week at Microsoft Campus in Redmond with 25 fellow SCCM & Intune MVP’s from all over the world. A special thanks to everyone from the Product Group that took time out of their busy calendar to spend time with us and listen to our feedback.Looking forward to come back again in March for the Global MVP Summit 2019./Ronni
IntroductionThe Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) feature was first introduced in version 1610 as a pre-release feature. Last week Microsoft released 1802, and this feature is no longer a pre-release feature. We also now have the option to create the CMG using Azure Resource Manager (ARM).In this blogpost I will share some learnings that I got from migrating the first customer from an existing (Classic) CMG deployment to the new modern (ARM) deployment.Pre-Migration TasksThere is really not that much that needs to be prepared, but you should spend the 15-20 minutes it takes to read the following documentation before you start:Plan…
IntroductionWith the release of Configuration Manager 1710, Microsoft now supports co-management, so Windows 10 clients can be managed by both SCCM and Intune at the same time. There are a few pre-requirements that need to be completed if you want to use co-management, and the most important one is that you need have your MDM authority in Intune set to Intune. The following are general prerequisites for you to enable co-management: Configuration Manager version 1710 or later Azure AD EMS or Intune license for all users Azure AD automatic enrollment enabled Intune subscription (MDM authority in Intune set to Intune)See all…
Over the years, I’ve created multiple labs, so that I can test different scenarios. One of my first “cloud only” Azure AD labs was created back in 2012. Two weeks ago, I wanted to use this lab to test a new Conditional Access scenario that one of my customers needed.Long time ago, I also created an “All Users” group, that was based on direct membership, so I thought it was a good idea to replace that group with a new and “shiny” dynamic group based on the “UserType” attribute. So, I created the following group, and started to redeploy all my…
Right now, I’m sitting in a Lufthansa Airbus A380 somewhere over the Atlantic ocean. Next week, I’ll be attending the Microsoft Ignite 2017 event in Orlando, to get some insights to the latest updates and strategies from Microsoft. So why not spend the time writing this blog post! Next month I’ve been invited to present at the Lowlands Unite event in Belgium. The Lowlands Unite events are joined user group events between the Belgium and the Dutch System Center User groups, and earlier this year I was invited to the Dutch edition in Amsterdam. The event in Amsterdam was a…
Today I had the honor to speak at the Azure Saturday event in Copenhagen. I’m really impressed with the quality and the list of international speakers are really impressive. Great job! My presentation was about Protecting Cloud Identities using EMS, Intune and Azure AD Premium features, and as promised during the session, here is a copy of the PowerPoint slides. Looking forward to be back next year! Azure saturday 2017 – Protecting cloud identities using emsfrom Ronni Pedersen That’s it… Enjoy! +Ronni Pedersen
On Tuesday, August 15th, 2017 the Microsoft Tech Community will host an ‘Ask Microsoft Anything’ (AMA) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PT in the Office 365 Admin AMA space.
